BRAND PROFILE

Born in Paris, Emmanuelle Khanh enters the fashion world at the end of the 50’s as a model. At the beginning of the 60’s, she collaborates with rising brands such as Cacharel or Missoni. At the avant-garde of these transformations, she imagines the wardrobe of the modern, free and active woman who emancipates of the strict social rules. In 1969, she creates her eponym brand of feminine ready-to-wear. Mesh and embroidery become her signature and make her collections so distinctive. Success comes very fast. In 1972, Emmanuelle Khanh launches a collection of glasses. In order to get the best, she starts working with the traditional workshops of Oyonnax (Jura, France) and imagines a line of oversized frames, which immediately becomes iconic. With Emmanuelle Khanh, glasses become fully a fashion accessory, the signature of an audacious style, bold and elegant at the same time.

THE EYEWEAR

In 2010, eyewear has been relaunched with the most famous models of Emmanuelle Khanh Paris. Since then, innovation is invited in this strong historical universe: iconic acetate frames meet pure and modern metal, both playing with audacious and smart lines.

This season, the inspiration is a journey into the Emmanuelle Khanh woman’s intimate life and love for her frames. The collection is about her elegance and extravagance: thick and deep acetates, coated titanium, intense lenses, bright and bold color palette. Fresh and warm at the same time, it is an ode to the House’s universe, bold and feminine.

Frames are handmade in France, in the same historical workshops, and in Japan, for the very exclusive Studio collection.

SAVOIR-FAIRE

Emmanuelle Khanh Paris promotes the French savoir-faire by renewing, year after year, its collaboration with the traditional workshops of Jura, specialized in handmade acetate frames from one generation to the next. By encouraging this unique craftsmanship, the House chooses an aware, sustainable, and environment-friendly manufacture.

For the very exclusive Studio collection, Japanese craftmanship guarantees a traditional yet genuine know-how and exceptional materials such as titanium.

All raw materials are carefully selected from suppliers who are recognized for the excellence of their products and share the same values. Acetate frames are cutted out from MAZZUCCHELLI‘s Italian acetate recognized for its highly technical and aesthetical qualities.
